My Go-To look + Products to Achieve!

Tuesday, 1 March 2016

If I'm at home, I tend not to wear much make up as I like to let my skin breathe, but if we are off out for the day I do have a favourite look that I opt for. I only really use drugstore products for my everyday look and I like to use brown, gold, nude and pink hues as they compliment my green eyes, pale skin and dark hair wonderfully.

FACE  AND  BASE
I like to make sure my make up is going to last all day so I always start my routine with Revlons Photoready Perfecting Primer. It smooths out my skin for a flawless application and the creamy texture is so moisturising.
I follow this with my favorite drugstore foundation; Bourjois Healthy Mix. This give fantastic coverage and leave my skin looking radiant and glow-y, especially when applied with my Real Techniques Expert face Brush.
Generally I have pretty clear skin, but my under eyes can do with some help, so I reach for Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer and blend it in with my Bella&Bear 'Golden Cat' Small Concealer Brush. This concealer blends effortlessly and seamlessly, I love it!
I  am favouring a matte finish to my skin right now so I like to set it all into place with Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. I gently dust it all over my face with my Real Techniques Powder Brush.

EYES
Next, I move onto my eyes. I prep them with Benefit 'Stay Don't Stray' Eyelid Primer which I blend in with my fingertips. This is probably the best eyelid primer I've used as it gives your eyelids a nice even colour and it really increases the longevity of any eyeshadow applied.
I have been using the ChiChi 'Spices' Palette for my eyes as it is full of earthy, wearable shades in a variety of finishes, so next I go in with a matte ivory shadow all over the lid and a matte brown shadow in the outer corner of the eye and along the crease for some definition. I apply this in a windscreen wiper motion with my M.A.C 219 Pencil Brush.
To add some delicate shimmer I pick up a champagne or pink shimmer shadow and press it all over the lid and into the inner corner of the eye with my Bella&Bear 'Iromote' Flat Brush.
These colours really work to make my green eyes pop and they are perfect for everyday wear as they work with a variety of colours and outfit choices.
I line my eyes with Collection Eye Define Black Liquid Liner. Recently I have preferred an extended wing with a very fine tip.
I always use my E.L.F 3-in-1 Mascara to separate, lengthen and define my lashes, but most days I also emphasize my eyes with Revlon Define 'D103' Lashes. I feel they give something a little extra to the look and make my eyes look that little bit bigger.

BROWS
I've never been brilliant at doing my brows but I do feel that my current product and brush combo has really improved my brow game!
I start by brushing through and shaping my brows with the spoolie end of my Bella&Bear Iberian Lynx Duo fibre brow brush.
Then, I pick up a small amount of Freedom Makeup Brow Pomade on my Real Techniques Bold Metals Angled Liner Brush and fill in my brows from the underside to the top.
I then take the same spoolie and brush through my brows again to disperse any excess product and for a fluffier, more natural finish.

BRONZE  AND  HIGHLIGHT
I don't do much bronzing as I feel it can overwhelm my pale skin but I do like to apply a little bit to give my face some healthy colour. I usually opt for a light brown shimmer bronzer from my E.L.F Bronzer Quad and gently apply it to the underneath of my cheekbones and my temples with my E.L.F Studio Blush Brush.
To follow, I delicately highlight my face using a champagne highlight from my E.L.F Illuminating Quad and my Bella&Bear 'Jungle Cat' Tapered Highlighting brush. I dust the highlight along my cheekbones, my brow bones, the button of my nose and the cupids bow.

LIPS
For my everyday lip look, I stick to a pink-y nude shade. My lips are quite pink anyway but I like to have a little product on so I start by lining them with the Essence Lip Pencil in 'Satin Mauve' and then fill them in with the Essence Longlasting Lipstick in 'Nude05' for a dewy finish.
