Chocolate Easter Nests

Monday, 21 March 2016

Easter just wouldn't be the same without some classic chocolate nests, topped with those delicious Cadbuy Mini Eggs which I could eat a million of! They're so easy to make, smothered in chocolate and require no baking so they really are the perfect all rounder!

You'll Need

50g butter
100g dark chocolate
3tbsp golden syrup
1 bag Cadbury Mini Eggs
100g fibre cereal (I used Morrisons Fantastic Fibre)
12 Cupcake Cases

1. Put the butter, chocolate and golden syrup into a sauce pan and melt gently on a low heat, stirring to combine. Remove from the heat once everything is melted and combined.
2. Weigh out the fibre cereal and add into the chocolate mix, covering everything completely. I like to use this kind of cereal as, once covered in chocolate, it has the look of twigs which makes for perfect nests!
3. Spoon the mixture into the cases and make a slight well in the middle of each one.
4. Place 2 Cadbury Mini Eggs into each well and then put the cakes into the fridge to set.
5. Allow to set for 3 hours or over night (if you can wait that long!)
6. Before serving or displaying, remove the cupcake cases so you can really appreciate the look of your nests!

These really are the perfect Easter treat and they look so cute on the table surrounded by some festive confetti! Everybody loves them and will be pleased to see them on offer.
