What I am proud of doing in 2015

2015 is drawing to a close and I think it is important to take some time to look back and be thankful for the things that have come our way - the good experiences we can reminisce about and the bad ones we can learn from ...

Marrying my Prince charming

Planning a wedding is hard. Real hard. It takes time, patience, co-operation and commitment and we did it. We had a very D.I.Y wedding so there was many a late night spent making things and many a bicker about something that wasn't quite right, but we made it and I am proud. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Our wedding was beautiful and so special. I know everyone has their own idea of a perfect wedding, but I personally couldn't think of anything worse than a stuffy, 3 course dinner, no personality wedding; they are a dime a dozen and so not us as a couple.
Luckily, Dan and I agree on most things and we decided to have an autumnal, rustic wedding with a Johnny cash band, a hogroast and lots of fun. Everyone had a brilliant time and it is something we will never forget.
I am so blessed to have such a caring, understanding and amazing husband to spend my life with and make many special memories with.

Becoming a Mummy

We had been waiting quite some time (and had some bad experiences) for our little darling, and here he is. I had a hard time at the end of my pregnancy but I didn't let it get to me as I know that I am so lucky and blessed to have experienced the miracle of pregnancy. Elias is growing big and strong and hes such a happy boy. Everything he does makes me proud and I love him so much. He is the making of me.

Growing my blog

My blog might not be as big as others, but I am proud of how much hard work I've put into it this year. Its been hard to find the time in between working, being a mum, wedding planning, christening planning and other things, but I did it! My blog has grown from 42 blog lovin followers in January to over 330 today.
I want to continue to put time into my blog next year and watch it grow further. I've made so many blogger friends this year and that is definitely the best part of the whole bloggisphere!

Attending my First Blogging event

Earlier this year I was invited to my first blogging event. It was hosted by Elle and Cosmo and was in a lavish place in London. You can read my post all about it here. I was invited as a special chosen blogger and even got to make my own video in partnership with Colgate in a gorgeous studio! It made me realise how far I have come since starting my blog and it also opened my eyes as to how important it is to network and establish good relationships with brands and other bloggers. I am hoping to attend more blogging events in 2016!

Having Elias Christened

I know some people don't agree with 'choosing your child's faith for them', but I am so thankful and grateful to God everyday for blessing us with Elias, that having him baptized just seemed like the right thing to do.
Although we as a family are not religious, I am religious and Dan understood that it was important to me; and Elias was Christened in November.
I think it is important for a child to feel special and protected and although I will do that for Elias with every breath I have, I want him to know he can turn to God, too. I often visit the church in the village with Elias and he enjoys looking at the stained-glass windows and the peaceful environment.
Elias' Christening was a beautiful day, where he was celebrated and surrounded by family and I will never forget it!

Going to Disneyland

I am more grateful for this than proud of it, but it is something I have wanted to do all of my life and I am just so blessed to have experienced it for the first time with my Husband. Disney was an amazing place which filled me with inspiration, motivation, excitement and peace and I cant wait to return in a few years with Elias!

This year has been a hectic and busy year but I have achieved some of the greatest things ever that I am infinitely proud of. There have been downers but the positives outweigh them by far and I am so thrilled with everything that has come my way this year. I am excited for 2016 and all it has to bring!

What were you most proud of achieving this year?
