October Favourites!

Monday, 2 November 2015

Can you believe it is November already?! Where is the time going? Before I get wrapped up in the festive season goodies I wanted to take a look back at what things I enjoyed most in October....

Yankee Candle Candy Corn Wax Melt £1.49
I always have a Yankee tart burning in the house but at this spooky time of year I always reach for the Candy Corn Melt. Its sweet and warming and it fills the house with such a delicious scent. I especially loved having this burning as we carved our pumpkins!

Bath&Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Hand Gel $1.75
Ever since having Elias I have always kept an antibacterial hand gel with me and this Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin Gel is addictive. It's the perfect size to keep in your handbag (or even your pocket) and the scent is perfect for the autumn. It even has tiny beads in it which help to moisturize your hands!

Primark Statement Necklace £4.00
A statement necklace can really take an outfit from drab to fab and this Necklace from Primark is an absolute bargain! I bought it for a night out a few weeks ago and I have had so many compliments on it. I think the nude gem really compliments the gold chain and although it is a statement piece it isn't too OTT or in your face. This looks perfect when paired with some nude heels and nails.

Essence Nudes Palette £4.00
I do love a bargain palette and this one is just such a steal! The 'All about ... Nudes' Palette by Essence contains 8 shadows in a range of mattes, shimmers and metallics, and I think it is perfect for creating a soft, everyday look. The formula of the powders is soft, blendable and longlasting and I just cant get enough!

ELF Smudge Pot 'Cruisin' Chic' $3.00
I am so pleased to see that ELF has made a return to the UK, but I have to admit I am a little disappointed in their UK product range - it seems very limited at the moment. I picked up this smudge pot when they were here before and even though they are not still in the UK range, you can pick them up from the US version of the website. I absolutely love this colour, I think it looks so chic when applied under the lower lashline and I find that it doesn't crease either.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 'Copenhagen' $6.00
NYX have been one of my favourite brands for quite some time and I am over the moon to see that you can now buy their range here in the UK in boots! I really like that they offer professional quality products at affordable prices. Their Soft Matte Lip Creams are wonderfully smooth and longlasting and 'Copenhagen' is the ultimate Autumn shade. I find that these don't go crumbly on the lips when dry and they do stand the test of time.

Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination Creme $36.00
Highlighters have become a big part of my makeup routine as I feel they really add life and softness to the face. I am addicted to the Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination Creme as it is the perfect golden highlight and it can be worn alone or even mixed in with your foundation. I feel it gives the perfect amount of light to the face without being glittery and a little really does go a long way.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation £9.99
Before our wedding I made it my mission to find the perfect foundation, and after lots of buying and trying I finally settled on the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. But, while browsing the stores in the airport on the way to our honeymoon I stumbled across the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and I have to say that I actually prefer it over the Estee Lauder one. I find that it is light on the skin but gives amazing coverage and it has made my skin feel so much softer and radiant. I also find that it is very hydrating and moisturisng.

I'll leave you with some pictures of other things I loved this October!
