MAC Velvet Teddy

If you've been living anywhere but under a rock you'll know that this little lippy is everywhere. Well, that is until you try to buy it.
I was on a crazy hunt for this cult favourite for so long and when my sister and I visited London last weekend I was certain I would be able to pick it up in Covent Gardens MAC store, but I was wrong. So very wrong.
So, on we went with our day of shopping, when it suddenly hit me - there is a MAC counter in Selfridges - so we made a dash for it and I was so pleased when the manager told me she has loads of them left.
And so, I own one! Finally!

I have to admit this is the first piece of MAC makeup I ever owned, but I am already addicted and eyeing up what I might buy next (hint; 'Honey Love').

The packaging, while admittedly very minimal, is very sleek and luxury looking. The bullet itself is sturdy and robust and I really like the curved tip of the lid.
The shade name is also on the bottom of the bullet, so, as your collection grows (as it undoubtedly will) you can find what you are looking for with ease.

The formula of the lipstick is idea. Soft, creamy and moisturising while delivering a good hit of pigment, with a matte finish. I have quite pink lips but this still gave a good colour to them.
I also like that it has a delicate, sweet scent to it.
The only disappointment was that it didn't last as long on the lips as I'd hoped, but it was still a good 4-5 hours between touch ups. Of course, as with all lipsticks, this applies more neatly and cleanly when used with a lip liner pencil.

Overall, I am very impressed with this product. I was a little hesitant about spending £15.50 on one lipstick, but now I know how lovely it is, I would be happy to do it again. MAC have a very wide shade range of lipsticks and I cant wait to discover more!

Have you tried MAC before? Are there any pieces you'd recommend?
