Make Up Academy Twelfth Night Palette

Saturday, 13 December 2014

As a Superdrug exclusive, Make Up Academy have launched the gorgeous 'Twelfth Night' palette.
This little treasure comes free with any MUA purchase of £8 or above and it is just perfect for the party season.
Filled with 12 rich, jewel toned shades it left me dazzled in the make up aisle and I knew I had to try it for myself.

It's just so pretty and all those shimmer shades just scream festive glam to me. As usual for MUA, this palette comes with a sponge applicator, which, although it doesnt work well for blending, is great for swatching and highlighting the inner corner of the eye and brow bone.

The top row L-R are;
Ice; A pearlescent highlight with a golden tone.
Myth; An eye catching yellow gold shade!
Frost; A wonderful blue toned silver shade perfect for adding some winter sparkle.
Oudth; Although I'm not sure how you pronounce the name I am sure that this copper tone is a winner. Perfect when on the lids and smoked out!
Coal; A very wearable brown shade with gold running throughout.
Fir; A wonderful brown with copper running throughout.

The Bottom row L-R are;
Hush; A simple matte shade perfect for highlighting.
All Spice; A seasonal red brown with hints of gold for Christmas sparkle.
Ivy; A rich shimmer green for a smoky eye with a difference!
Plum; A deep purple. Perfect for injecting some subtle colour into your look.
Enchant; A pearlescent charcoal grey with hints of silver.
Star Shine; As the name suggests, a sparkle blue black shadow.

This palette is just bursting with shades that are perfect for the party season. The shadows have great pay off, blend very well and last on the lid 'til the end of your party and further! A firm seasonal favourite, MUA have certainly impressed me again!

  1. wow look at that pigment! these shades are so pretty, i may have to pick it up (especially as it's in a deal, it would be rude not to) - great post :-)
