DrugStore Haul

Hello My Beautifuls <3

My everyday Makeup bag has been dwindling recently, so I decided it was time to go on a haul! I usually always use drug store make up and seem to have been sticking with MUA for the last few months so I wanted to try out some products from some other drug store brands.

Much to Dan's dismay I could spend hours looking through the make up stands - admiring the packaging, swatching the shades and comparing the prices, so I really enjoyed going on this haul! Here are my thoughts on some of the products I decided to try out!

Maybelline has always been one of my favourite make up brands but I haven't bought anything from them in a long time so I decided it was time to rekindle our relationship haha!
I picked up this Dream Satin Liquid foundation and some of the new Baby skin Primer (I will review this separately though, as I know there is a lot of hype around it!) as they were in a buy one get one half price promotion.

The Design of the bottle hasn't changed much since I last used it, but I can't say that I mind as it is very simple and clearly displays the product inside, also, the slim glass bottle make it look more expensive than it actually is.
The foundation comes in a pump dispenser which is brilliant as it means you can control how much you use and not waste any.
To be honest, I love this foundation so much and I don't know why I stopped using it, it has brilliant coverage, there is a wide range of shades for every skin tone, it blends well with any applicator and it stays put on my skin all day. The consistency is creamy which is great as it means it doesn't dry too fast and gives you time to blend it thoroughly.

The product promises an airbrushed, poreless finish and I don't disagree, it doesn't make me look completely poreless but it does improve the overall appearance vastly <3

I haven't bought a pressed powder in ages as I have been using the MUA Matte Perfect Loose powder, so I thought it was time to switch things up when it ran out!
I spotted this cute little pressed powder compact by miss sporty and loved that it was matte finish!

The packaging is hot pink and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand - the inside features a mirror and cute little powder puff.

This powder comes in a couple of shades - I decided to go for the fairest as they didn't have a translucent option.
I thought it was going to be virtually invisible but, unfortunately, I found it quite dark and, when applied with the puff included, it came out a little patchy.
I tried applying it with my kabuki and it was better but i think I'm going to stick with translucent powder from now on!
All this said its still not bad for the £1.99 price tag.

I have always used this liner as I find it's the best all rounder - it has a nice thin brush, it applies smoothly, comes out dark, doesn't flake and stays put even when rubbed!

You can see from my images that the thin brush on this liner doesn't limit you - it is versatile enough to create thick and thin liner styles and it doesn't smudge!

Whats even more amazing is that this liner comes in at £2.99 - I have tried much more expensive liners and haven't been nearly as impressed.

I will certainly be sticking with this for the foreseeable future!

This has been one of my favourite blushes for a long time so I had to pick up another pot when my last one ran out! I have been using the ELF HD Blush a lot lately and I love it so much but this Bourjois one is just so pretty.

Like all the Bourjois products it has a lovely light scent and it applies perfectly. This blusher comes with a little mirror in the lid and its own little brush - perfect for when your on the go!

They last agggess and a little goes a long way, it is hard to get a clear picture of how it looks as this shade is very peachy and I use it as more of a highlighter on the apples of my cheeks but there are darker shades available if you prefer more of a flushed blush!

I spotted this when I was looking through the miss sporty stand and I just thought the packaging was so pretty and girly so I immediately loved it, but then when I used the tester I loved it even more!

The thing I love most about this is that it has little speckles of sparkle in it to give you a really nice, healthy glow - its hard to see in the picture but when applied all over you face it looks so sweet!

I think this is more of a light foundation than a BB cream really but when it only sets you back £3.49, who's complaining?

It is a little liquidy but it applies just lovely with fingers or a sponge and you can mix it in with your favourite foundation to get that pretty glow and your usual coverage! There are only 2 shades available though, so it is a shame for girls with a darker skin tone, as they wont be able to try it.

The product claims to be skin perfecting but I found the coverage a little too light to mask my imperfections, however, with the help of a little concealer it does look lovely and is great for those days when you just don't feel like wearing heavy make up.

I'm sure most of you have heard of witch sticks before - they are so good for stopping breakout in their tracks, and they also help to banish spots!

This only cost £2.89 and I think its a worthy buy for anyone, you can use it when you notice a certain area of your face looking a little shiny and it will immediately help to break down the oil that causes spots.

It is very simple to use and soothes the skin so much, I found it to be almost like a toner too as it made my skin feel soft after use.

Continuing with the skincare products, I also picked up a new bottle of this NIVEA eye make up remover as my old one just ran out and I couldn't bear to be without it!
I have been using the NIVEA skincare range for the last few months and it has made my skin much brighter and I have noticed a big decrease in breakouts.

Taking your eye makeup off each night is so important as the eyes are one of the first areas to show signs of ageing, so this product is perfect to combat that! All you have to do is give the bottle a good shake to mix the 2 parts together, apply it to a cotton disc and gently swipe it over your eyes - no rubbing required!

I found that this removes even waterproof makeup very easily and my eyelashes have looked much healthier since I started using it :)

It only costs £3.29 but I've never payed more than £2 for it as it always seems to be on offer in superdrug, so now there is no excuse to remover your make up at bedtime!

And finally, I picked up this bottle of Treseme 24 hour body blow dry lotion.
I always like to use a product on my hair when drying it (usually Aussie's leave in conditioner) and I have always liked the Treseme shampoos and conditioners so I thought I'd give this a try.

It promises to aid in volume but I'm not sure that it really did that, however that might just be me, as I have quick thick hair so its usually always big anyway!
Either way, it smells nice and my hair was soft after use so its definitely good to use something in your hair when blow drying it!

This costs £5.49 so I think, if it came to it, I would stick to the Aussie products, but its nice to try new things one in a while and this made for a nice change!

I hope you enjoyed this haul post! Its nice to try new products once in a while - we all have our favourites which we are comfortable with, but variety is the spice of life so be brave and try something new!
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
