As Many of my lovely Readers Will Know, I have a Passion - No, Scratch that - An Obsession with MakeUp! So, When I Heard Recently that one of my Favorite brands, 'MUA' had a fantastic 3 for 2 offer on, I Just couldn't help Myself But Visit their online Shop! (You can visit it here, the Offer ends June 4th 2013)

MUA are an affordable brand of professional makeup with prices from as little as £1 - so even without the offer it is well worth a try!

Whilst Shopping on the Website I Noticed that Orders over £25 qualified for FREE Delivery! My Basket was Already at £21, So I decided to Add a few Extra Items & get the Delivery for Free!

I have Tons of MakeUp at Home, So I thought that with this Order I would Try to Buy Items that I wouldn't Usually, as I always Love to Try different Looks & Styles - & the Extra MakeUp will come in Handy for My Up-Coming Shoots!

I placed my Order on 17th May and received it on 23rd May - Fantastic! Especially since I Didn't have to Pay for Delivery!
When It arrived it was All Packed Neatly & securely with Foam & Bubble Wrap to ensure None of the Items Smashed or Leaked!

&& Here is My Beautiful order in all its Glory! I bought 30 items and Payed just £25! What a Bargain!

My Favorite Of The Bunch Had to Be the 12 Shade 'PopTastic' Palette (£4).There are so many Vibrant, Beautiful Colours in it that my Eyes just didn't know Where to Look First! I Usually only use Brown & Earthy colours on my Eyes but I thought that These would be Perfect for the Summer & Festival Season!
The Shadows Apply Smoothly, don't Crease & Blend with No Effort - I Love it & definitely Recommend it!

I also Ordered Some Lovely 'Intense Glitter' Pencil Liners (£1 each). I Chose 'Silver Sparkle' (Web Exclusive), 'Gold Nugget' (Web Exclusive) & 'Malt Chocolate'. To Be Honest, I was Expecting the Usual thing of the MakeUp promising an Intense Glitter Look & Not delivering on it - but I was Wrong! As You Can See Each Of the Pencils are Wonderful & Sparkly &will dramatise any Look!
I was also Impressed that Each Pencil Came with its Own Sharpener in the Lid - this is Ridiculously Handy & at £1 per pencil, so Cheap!
The Pencils glide on smoothly & evenly with minimal Effort and can be used as an EyeLiner or Blended as a Shadow!

I Took a liking to these Beautiful 'Intense Colour' Pencil Liners as Soon as I Saw Them (£1 Each).
I Chose Shades 'Bright Orange', 'Lovely Lilac', 'Royal Blue' & 'Turquoise' and None of them Disappoint!
They Give a Really Hard Colour which doesn't Fade and Gives a 'Wow factor' to any Look you Create!
I Particularly Love the Royal Blue because it is Versatile enough to be Worn in an everyday MakeUp Look, But can also be Used to Enhance any Fantasy Look!
Just like the 'Intense Glitter' Liners, These apply smoothly and Last for Ages & All come with their Own Sharpener!

Next, I Spotted These Gorgeous Liquid Liners (£1 Each) and Opted for Shades '2' & '3'!
I was Surprised at How Long These Lasted as I Have Used Liquid Liners before that Seem to Rub Off after a Few Hours!
I Am Totally in Love with them & I Especially Like How they Look when Used Together! They will Make a Fantastic Addition to a Festival MakeUp Bag!!
These Apply like a Dream as the Lid also Pairs Up as the Brush Handle, which, Because it is Nice & Long, Gives you Great Possibility, whether you Like Feline Flicks, or Just a Simple Sweep! The Brush itself is also Lovely, as it doesn't have bristles, so You Wont end Up With Little Flick Offs Where you Don't Want Them!
I am Just waiting for MUA to Bring out a White Liquid Liner Now :)

I Had to Grab a Few Of My Favourite Brow Pencils too (£1 Each), So I decided to get 2 of them in Shade 'Brunette' & 1 in Shade 'blonde' in case I have any Fairer-Haired Models in the Future!
These Brow Pencils are Soft & Easy to Use & the Best Part - They are Double-Ended with a Mini Brow Brush, So Your Brows can be Perfectly Groomed Forever More!

I browsed through the Lip Section Too & decided to Pick Up a Lip Liner (£1) in Shade 'Brooding Plum' - This is a Lot Darker than What I Usually Go For So I thought I'd Give it a Try!
The Lip Liners also come with Their Own Sharpeners, Which is Fantastic!
I decided to Fill in My Whole Lip With the Pencil and it Looked Lovely! It Applied so Neatly Because of the Narrow Tip and Lasted for Ages - Even When I Had a Drink!
I Love it & Can't Stop Using it Now!

Whilst In the Lip Section I also Noticed The MUA Had a LOT of Lovely LipSticks to Offer (£1 Each) - I have Bought a Few Before But I Never Realised how Many Shades Were Available!
What I Love Most About These is That The Colour Demonstrator on the End can be popped off and is a Small Tinted Lip Moisturiser!

I Bought the Following Shades;

 Shade 14 - Bare

Shade 7

Shade 2

Shade 10

Shade 13

Shade 1

All Of These Lipsticks are Soft and Apply Beautifully! They are Shiny and Beautiful and Last For a long Time! The Only Thing I would Change would be For Each Shade to have its Own Name - Rather Than Just a Number!

I Bought a Couple of Blushers Too (£1 Each) in Shades '1' and '6' - These are Both colours that I would Never Usually Wear But I wanted to Test them and Use Them in Some Up-Coming Projects!
These Blushers Apply Perfectly with a Brush and can be Blended very Easily - I would Recommend them to Everyone - Even Beginners!

I also Picked Up a Few 'Foundation Routine' Products, as They are Always Good to have Handy!
I Chose a 'Shine Control Foundation' from Matte Perfect Range (£2) in Shade 'Natural' - This was a little Darker than I Expected as I had Bought a Foundation from the 'Undress Your Skin' Range Recently & they were All Named Differently - However, when mixed with a Small amount of a Lighter Foundation it was Perfect!
The Foundation was Perfectly Liquidy - not too Runny & not too Gloopy! When applied with My Stippling Brush it left my Skin Beautiful & Glowing & Lasted all day!
I Chose 2 of the NEW 'Hide&Conceal' Sticks (£1 each) in shades 'Fair' & 'Natural'! These were Lovely & Creamy & Perfectly Covered all my blemishes - it also Stayed On Well Under my Foundation All Day & Didnt Start to Crumble.
Another Item I Chose was a 'Brush on Concealer Pen' (£1) in Shade 'Radiance', as I thought this would Be Great For Use Under My Eyes - & I was Not Wrong! It Was Smooth and Silky and Perfectly evened out My Skin!

I also Couldn't Help Myself but Buy a Few Of the New Design Nail Polishes (£1 Each), In Shades 'Natural Days', 'Koala Bear', 'Pistachio Ice Cream' & ' Lush Lilac'.
All Of the Shades That MUA have to Offer Were Gorgeous and It Was so Hard to Decide!
I Really love the Bottles as they are sleek, professional and expensive looking - they Really remind me of the 'Essie polishes' which are 7x the Price!
I have to Admit that I didnt have High expectations for These as I Bought a MUA Polish from the old Range & the Brush wasn't all that Great which meant it didn't Apply Properly - However, How that these have Had Their Makeover, I Couldn't have Asked for Any More - they were Perfect in Every Way!

I am so Impressed with every aspect of my order - the Easy to use Website, the Fabulous Offer, the Quick Delivery, the Secure Packaging, & , of course, the Beautiful Products! As always, I Highly Recommend that all you Lovely Readers give MUA MakeUps a Try!

Daily SkinCare Basics

Tuesday, 21 May 2013

If there's one thing that I Can't handle, it's leaving make-up on overnight! This is such a bad habit and can lead to bad and oily skin!
Daily skincare is so Easy, Affordable & takes all of 10 minutes! You will be thankful you did it when your skin is beautiful & glowing after just one time!

Nowadays there are so many kinds of skincare products available, ones for dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, sensitive skin - you name it, they've made it! All of these products range in Price too, with some drugstore ones being totally affordable to department store ones being (in my opinion) unreasonably priced!

I have always been a fan of the 'Olay' Brand, they are trusted and experienced & I always use their 'Olay essentials' Range as My Daily Skincare Routine, they are Affordable, Gentle, Smell Great, Non-Greasy and come in Sleek packaging!

Here is the range (apologies but I have just run out of the toner!) & this is all you will need for Glowing Beautiful, Spot-Free skin!
Pictured (from left to right);
Gentle foaming face wash - £2.49
Smoothing face Scrub - £2.49
Eye MakeUp Remover Cream - £2.99
Refreshing Toner - £2.99
Anti-Wrinkle Firm & Lift Day Cream £10.20

There are also other products in the range for those who prefer an even gentler routine, such as;
gentle cleanser conditioning milk - £2.99
Wet cleansing wipes - £2.49

I have always bought these for My Skincare Routine, but, to be honest, I have never payed full price for them! Superdrug & Boots are constantly having offers with these sorts of products whether its 3 for 2 or half price!
I got the Day Cream for my Birthday (in February) & still have over half the tub left & I got it half price for £5.07! Brilliant!
I also like to check in 'Savers' as they often have the products half the price of the RRP and this isn't even on offer, it just the usual price they sell at!

You will also need a couple of Cotton Discs (cheap in Primark & Superdrug!) and a Face Mitt (Mine, Pictured, was £1 in Primark)

I do this Routine Twice a day, once when I get up and once before bed - just like brushing your teeth!

You should start First by Removing any Eye Makeup! This is the most important stage as bad skin around the eyes is what really ages women before their time, & leaving eye make up on will only speed up this process!
Do this step by squeezing a pea sized amount of the eye make up remover on to a cotton disc, close your eyes and gently rub back and forth over your eyelashes until it is all gone! Alternatively you can squeeze a little on to your finger (the one next to your little finger), close your eyes and gently rub over your eyelashes in small circular motions!

The Olay Eye MakeUp Remover is lovely, creamy and very gentle on your sensitive eye skin! I have suuuper sensitive eyes and usually cant use anything on them without the running like a river but this product is perfect and I never have a tear in sight!

Next, you need to grab your face wash! Squeeze about a 50 pence size blob into your left hand then with your fingers on your right hand rub it in circular motions over your face - cheeks, nose, forehead, chin & neck! Then wet your mitt with warm water and start to wash it off, rinsing your mitt between every 2 or 3 wipes! You can repeat this step if you wish!

The Olay Face wash is so lovely & refreshing! It is in Gel form, smells lovely and really glides over your skin removing all traces dirt & Make up! Don't forget to wash in the corners of your noseee!

Now its time to scrub, scrub, scrub! Get your bottle of face scrub and, again, put a 50 pence size blob into the palm of your hand and apply with your other hand! Make sure you take time to really work the product into your skin, as the scrub helps remove all the dead skin cells, which is what will leave you with that gorgeous glow and smoothness!

The Olay Smoothing face scrub comes in a wonderful creamy form with small scrub crystals which rub over your skin but aren't abrasive, making this product great for sensitive skins! This product smells wonderfully fresh and will leave you feeling that way too!

I only use this product once a day as you should give you skin the chance to renew itself!

Next is the Toner! You will need a couple more cotton discs for this stage! Gently squeeze out some toner onto one of your cotton discs and wipe up your neck and over all of your face (be careful near your eyes). Then use the other cotton disc (but dry) to do the same thing and dry off your skin!

The Olay toner is very very refreshing and doesn't do the usual toner thing of drying out your skin and leaving it tight! When you squeeze it onto the cotton disc you will notice the wonderful blue colour and the lovely clean smell! Once you've used it once you will keep coming back!

And finally its moisturising time! You will only need a small amount of this as it is so rich and creamy! Just dab some onto your finger and then put a dot of it onto each of your cheeks, your nose, chin, forehead and neck and then rub it all in to leave you with gorgeous, soft, smooth, beautiful skin!

The Olay Anti-wrinkle day cream is perfection in a tub! It is Creamy, rich, soft and really does moisture your skin, but without leaving it greasy and shiny!
It is never too early to start using an anti-wrinkle cream, I have used one since I was 18 and My skin is still soft and supple! You will not regret using one of these!
The cream is £10.20 which can seem a little pricey, however, like I said, it lasts for a long time as your really don't need to use a lot and it gives brilliant results! It keeps for 12 months so if you only need one tub a year then it works out at just 85p a month!

A daily skin care routine is something everyone should be doing, no matter of age or sex, whether you wear make up or not! And, not forgetting that if you have a good clean skin, then your make up will apply more evenly, smoothly and flawlessly every day! You wouldn't expect to paint a work of art on a dirty easel so don't expect to have good make up on dirty skin!

What is your Favorite part of your daily skin routine!

How To; DIY Salt Spray

Thursday, 2 May 2013

Summer is slowly creeping in! Those long, light evenings, Beach BBQ's && the lovely feeling of being free! I cant wait!

Un-touched, Un-done, effortless beach hair is something we would all love to be flaunting this summer, and I am going to show you an easy way to get this style all summer long without having to set foot on any beach and without having to spend a fortune on products or hours in front of the mirror!

Salt Sprays (or surf sprays) have been becoming more and more popular over the last few years, giving a textured, beachy effect to long and short hair alike, but costing up to £30 a pop, they are not always purse friendly!
However, they are so simple to make, if you known how!

All you need to make your very own at home salt spray for under £4 is a few ingredients!

1 cup water, warmed up (but not hot!)
♡ 2 teaspoons of coarse sea salt or Epsom salt
1 teaspoon hair gel (whichever you like!)

4-5 drops of coconut oil or Argan oil
A spray bottle (I got a set of 4 from Primark for £1)

You can add more or less salt depending on how much texture you want!! Also, if you have a particular fragrance you like, you can add a couple of drops to this mixture, as it is unfragranced without!

You simply need to mix all the ingredients together until completely dissolved and funnel it into your spray bottle!

Whenever you are about to use your new product, make sure you shake it up first! I find that using the spray is usually most effective a day after washing!

All you need to do is liberally spritz the surf spray through your hair (either damp or dry) then grab a section from the bottom and scrunch it upward to your roots, hold for a few seconds and release! You can keep repeating this until you get your desired effect!
You don't really need to finish with hair spray as the surf spray holds very well but if you feel more comfortable with your usual hair spray in - then go for it!

Salt spray can be quite drying to the hair so try not to use it every day - if you use it more than 3 times a week make sure you use a deep conditioning mask/treatment on your hair to restore it to its full beauty! I recommend either 'Aussie deeeeep 3 minute miracle' (RRP £4.99) or 'Tresemme Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque' (RRP £4.99)

So, it really is as easy easy as that to get your own at-home beach tousled hair! Have a beautiful day & enjoy your new surf spray!
