A Hole Lot Of Fun ♡

I've been Wanting to Make some Donuts for a while now and when my Cute New Donut stamper arrived today, I just couldn't wait any longer!

I Bought My Stamper From Ebay (China) For Just 99p - Bargain! When Making my Donuts it was so Handy and saved me so much time! If you dont have one yourself, you can buy one from 'Ebay', or you could use a large and small cookie cutter instead!

I Dont Have a Deep Fryer, so I decided to Search for a 'Baked - Donut' recipe instead!

The recipie I used made 14 Donuts and is as follows;
1 & 1/3 cups warm milk (divided)
1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
2 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
5 cups all-purpose flour
A pinch or two of nutmeg,

I started by warming the 1/3 cup of milk (not too hot or you will kill the yeast!) Then I added the Yeast, stirred and left aside for 5 minutes.
Next I Warmed the rest of the milk in a seperate, larger bowl, and added the butter and sugar! Stir until fully mixed and then add in the yeast Mixture, and mix completley!
I then added the eggs and mixed with a fork.
Next I added the flour and Nutmeg!
My mixture was a little sticky so I added a little more flour and then covered with a damp towel and left to rise for 1 hour!
** While I was waiting for this to rise I made a banana loaf with some very ripe bananas I noticed lying around when making my fiances lunch! - Details below!*

Once the Hour had passed I punched the Dough down, rolled out a little and cut out with my stamper!

The Donuts came out perfectly round and looking lovely! I saved the middles and made 'donut holes' with them - as I don't like waste!

I lined a baking tray with some parchment paper and placed 6 donuts on each, spreading them out a little so they don't conjoin whilst cooking (:

After placing them on the tray I covered them again and left for another 15 minutes! Then I popped them in the oven at Gas Mark 5 for 8 -10 minutes!
You will know when your donuts are ready because they will be golden brown (:

My donuts came out a little 'heavy' (I think I added too much flour, so be careful!), but they are delicious none-the-less!

I let them cool slightly and then I topped them with a variety of delicious flavours!

I covered 1/3 of the donuts with a little melted butter and then dipped them in a sugar/cinnamon mix!
I covered 1/3 of the donuts in strawberry flavour glace icing and finished with some butterfly sprinkles <3
and I covered 1/3 of the donuts with some melted chocolate buttons!
I did the same on the cooked donut 'holes'

All finished & Looking delicious!

I also made this yummy banana loaf, as we had some very ripe bananas lying around, and this is supposed to be the best time to use them in cakes!

I made the banana loaf to a traditional recipie and added some yummy chocolate drops! I will serve it later with some warm custard!
